Congratulations Harriet Watson
Meet Harriet Watson. Winner of the 2026 'Expect Customer Service' Award 12-03-2026
After completing a BA in Communication and Media Studies at Glasgow Caledonian University, Harriet worked in digital and social media before taking time out to travel through Asia and Australia for seven months. Upon her return to Scotland, Harriet joined Glenfield Invicta and just eight months later she has won an Expect Award. Quite an achievement.
One of Harriet’s key achievements was helping to lead on the organisation of a two-day Aquestia-AVK Smart Water training event hosted at Glenfield Invicta’s premises in Kilmarnock. Accommodation, catering and entertainment had to be arranged for the thirty international delegates that attended, as well as the infrastructure and branding for the event itself. Quite a challenge!
Harriet’s Expect Award citation states:
Organising the training event required enormous dedication, and Harriet dedicated a significant amount of her personal time. The event was delivered flawlessly, reflecting Harriet’s enthusiasm, attention to detail, and commitment.
At the same time as organising the event Harriet had to balance the requirements of her ‘day job’ as Marketing Executive:
‘It has been a really interesting challenge getting to learn about the water, wastewater and hydro markets across the UK. After eight months I am feeling more confident about how the sector works, and the opportunities that are open to Glenfield Invicta. However, I am also aware that there is still much, much more to learn.
The seminar was held in partnership with Aquestia at the Glenfield Invicta Academy in Kilmarnock. Colleagues from across Europe, including Poland, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark, came together for two days of learning, discussion, and hands-on training to learn smarter and simpler way to manage air valves and tackle network leakage.
