Underground air valve for water and neutral liquids to max. 60°C (temporarily up to 90°C)
AVK underground air valve is designed to save manhole costs. It is suitable for frost protection and for installation under important crossings like roads and buildings where manholes would cause dangerous undermining of the ground. The underground air valve features a dynamic design allowing high velocity air discharge and a special one-way outlet that drains water from the valve box and prevents water intake.

Features
- Air valve box of PVC and cover of polypropylene
- Manholes not needed, therefore suitable for installation under important crossings like roads and buildings
- All operating parts of corrosion-resistant materials
- Patented rolling seal of EPDM rubber
- The large orifice in the automatic valve releases large volumes of air at high flow rates when the line is under pressure
- A discharge outlet enables removal of excess fluids
- More flexible due to the possibility of eight different lengths of installation: 500mm, 755 mm, 105 mm, 1355 mm, 1555 mm, 1830 mm, 2135 mm, 2440 mm
- Orifice size: Automatic 12 mm2, kinetic 804 mm2
- With an inlet flange or 2” BSP
- With a 2” AVK 701/40 double acting-double orifice air valve
- Working range: 0.1-10 bar, 0.2-16 bar
- Optional extras: Vacuum – air discharge only , “non-slam” system, underground valve for aggressive media and external freezing protection
